Meet Lee Kathryn
Lee Kathryn Shuchart graduated from Baylor University with honors and was awarded the Guittard Fellowship for Master's Studies in History. She attended South Texas of Law where she was awarded the "Top Oralist" in intramural moot court competition, and later participated on the National Moot Court Team. She served as an Associate Editor of the South Texas Law Reivew and was class secretary as an L3. She began her practice in the fields of commercial litigation and personal injury law where she was involved in trying cases across Texas in both state and federal court. She moved into medical malpractice litigation and travelled extensively for several years working with physician groups, hospitals, and other healthcare organizations overseeing litigation in almost 40 states and collaborating with top healthcare attorneys across the country. She returned to active trial practice and has successfully tried multiple cases in recent years. She is Of Counsel with Ramey Chandler Quinn, P.C. primarily focusing on first and third-party insurance defense and personal injury matters.
She has been active in our community serving as president during rebuilding and renovation of the Dad's Club Swim Team & Aquatic Center, serves as an active volunteer in a partnership program through her church with two schools in the Spring Branch Independent School District and is an organizer of an annual free soccer camp for local elementary aged children. She has continued to serve in her church on various committees over the last twenty years. She performs with three choral groups including the Houston Masterworks Chorus and other ensemble groups. She been a proud Houstonian since Second Grade.
She is married to attorney Fred Shuchart and they have two adult children and one grandchild.
Volunteer activities:
She is a member of Christ Presbyterian church where she has been a member of the worship music team, the worship choir and concert choir which does an annual free presentation of Handel’s Messiah for the community.
She has also served as President of Women’s Ministries and as a teacher in the “English as Second Language” program. In addition, she is an active volunteer in partnership program with two local schools in the Spring Branch Independent School District.
She served for 12 years on the board of the Dad’s Club Swim Team and was president for four years initiating the re-building program.
She is a member of the Houston Masterworks Chorus and participated in the debut of a commissioned work in collaboration with the University of Houston Mariachi Pumas.
